Job Title: C#/.NET Software Engineer

Location: On-site in Hauppauge, NY or Winston-Salem, NC

Job Type: Full-time

 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a skilled C#/.NET Software Engineer to design and develop desktop applications for both Windows and Linux platforms. This role involves creating high-performance, user-friendly applications with seamless database integration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C# and .NET development, cross-platform application design, and expertise in database management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

─         Implement new functionalities on existing and new software applications.

─         Develop and implement C#/.NET applications using WinForms and WCF.

─         Architect and build complex client-server applications.

─         Develop and maintain WCF services for effective communication between applications.

─         Oversee and optimize database design, including schema creation, query optimization, and stored procedure development.

─         Develop applications that can be adapted or deployed across different platforms including Windows and Linux.

─         Diagnose and resolve application issues, optimizing performance, security, and usability.

─         Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends, recommend improvements to existing systems.

─         Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following industry standards and best practices.

─         Work closely with design team and other developers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

 


Required Qualifications:

─         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

─         2-5 years of direct experience in C#/.NET development.

─         Proficiency in developing desktop applications using WinForms.

─         Advanced proficiency in Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) for developing and managing web services.

─         Experience with database design and management, including SQL Server or other relational databases.

─         Proven ability to design efficient schemas, optimize SQL queries, and manage stored procedures.

─         Knowledge of cross platform development tools, including experience with Linux environments.

─         Excellent problem-solving skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

─         Experience working with video technologies.

─         MVC Framework experience a plus.

─         Experience in .NET Core is preferred.

─         Highly self-motivated with a keen ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

─         Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and maintain a positive attitude.

─         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

─         Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments.
